Property use & visitors

Roam is offered exclusively for overnight lodging by registered guests and is not an event venue. We do not accept reservations for weddings, receptions, bachelor/bachelorette trips, organized parties, retreats, commercial activities or other event-oriented stays.

A limited number of daytime visitors may be allowed with prior host approval. Visitor approval does not permit a party or event or change occupancy, parking, quiet-hour or other property rules.

Outside vendors, amplified music, glitter and confetti are not permitted. Decorations or other items may not be attached to walls, ceilings, beams, furniture, fixtures, pergolas or other structures.

Location

Roam sits on the edge of Cody, about 6 minutes from downtown, 4 minutes from Cody’s primary grocery store and convenient to Yellowstone Regional Airport. Highway access makes it an easy base for Yellowstone, rodeo nights and river adventures.

Please be aware

The property is near the high-speed Greybull Highway and an open irrigation ditch. Children must be closely supervised around both. Wildlife may also be present on or near the property.

East Cabin has two bunk beds with safety rails. Upper bunks are intended for children able to safely use the ladders; parents and guardians are responsible for determining suitability.

Access

Guests have exclusive access to both cabins and the thoughtfully designed outdoor living spaces that connect them.

Each cabin is fully independent, with its own kitchen, living area and laundry, giving family and friends the flexibility to gather together or enjoy a little space of their own.

Outdoors, two substantial timber pergolas create inviting places to settle in for long Wyoming evenings. Each includes a griddle, stainless steel prep table, custom-built dining table and comfortable Adirondack seating around a fire feature. The larger Grand Pergola beside the West Cabin offers an especially generous setting for shared meals, conversation and time outdoors.

Guests also have access to the surrounding lawns and seasonal wildflower meadow.

Roam is reserved for registered overnight guests and approved visitors only and is not available for parties or events.

Transit

Roam is easy to reach and well positioned for exploring Cody and northwest Wyoming.

• Downtown Cody’s shops, restaurants and galleries are about 6 minutes away
• Cody’s primary grocery store is about 4 minutes away
• Buffalo Bill Center of the West is about 7 minutes away
• Yellowstone Regional Airport is just across the highway
• Yellowstone’s East Entrance is approximately a scenic one-hour drive

When arriving from Cody, take the first right past the veterinary clinic on the south side of Highway 14.

Each cabin has two dedicated parking spaces—one beneath a carport and one adjacent—with additional space available for extra vehicles and trailers. A driveway pull-out helps make trailer access and maneuvering easier.

Large reflective Roam Cody Yellowstone address signs on each cabin make the property easy to identify, including after dark.

Interaction

Your stay is designed to be easy and independent, with keypad check-in and no required host interaction. We’re local hosts – and the family who built the cabins – living just next door, so help is close by if you need it. Call or text anytime; otherwise, we’ll leave you to enjoy your stay.

Neighbourhood

Roam sits on the edge of Cody, pairing wide-open Wyoming views with easy access to town and the region’s best-known attractions. Spend your days at the Cody Nite Rodeo, rafting the Shoshone River, exploring Old Trail Town or visiting the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.

Yellowstone’s East Entrance is about a scenic hour away, making Roam an easy base for park day trips. McCullough Peaks and its wild horses are also nearby, while Cody’s 4th of July Stampede brings parades, rodeos and fireworks each summer.

Back at Roam, enjoy dinner beneath the pergolas, evenings around the fire pits and Wyoming skies overhead.

Important to know

• Roam is located along the Greybull Highway. Traffic can be heard outdoors; the cabins’ substantial log construction helps soften road noise inside, and white-noise machines are provided.
• Our neighbors include a veterinary hospital and Cody’s animal shelter, so occasional animal sounds are part of the setting.
• An open irrigation ditch runs along the property edge. It is off-limits for play or exploration, and children must be closely supervised.
• Deer, ducks, geese, pheasants and other wildlife are frequent visitors.

Space

Two Cabins, One Stay

Roam includes two handcrafted log cabins rented together, each with its own kitchen, living room, dining space, laundry and outdoor living area. The result is an unusual combination: plenty of space to gather, with two complete homes when family and friends want room of their own.

Sleeping Spaces

Across the two cabins:

• Four king bedrooms with Roku TVs, blackout shades and custom wood details
• One queen bedroom with Roku TV and blackout shades
• A dedicated kids’ bunkroom with two solid-wood twin-over-twin bunk beds and its own Roku TV

Indoor Living

Both cabins feature vaulted pine ceilings, circle-sawn wood floors and warm, handcrafted interiors designed for comfortable time together.

Each cabin includes:

• A fully equipped kitchen with a large island and dining area
• Spacious great room with Roku TV
• Moccamaster coffee brewer with locally roasted Ghost Town Coffee
• 300 Mbps fiber-optic internet
• Full in-unit laundry
• White-noise machines in every bedroom

Outdoor Living

The outdoor spaces are one of Roam’s defining features.

Two substantial timber pergolas provide dedicated spaces for outdoor dining and long Wyoming evenings. Each has a custom-built dining table, griddle and stainless steel prep table, with Adirondack seating around a fire feature nearby.

The larger Grand Pergola beside the West Cabin provides generous gathering space, while the East Cabin has its own pergola and outdoor dining area. Each cabin also has a deck for morning coffee or relaxing outside.

Lawns and a seasonal wildflower meadow surround the cabins and outdoor living spaces.

Your Stay

Both cabins and their decks, pergolas and outdoor spaces are reserved exclusively for the registered guests included in your booking. Parking is available just steps from each cabin.

Parking

Each cabin has two dedicated parking spaces: one beneath the carport and one adjacent.

Additional parking and a trailer pull-out are available along the driveway. Large reflective Roam Cody Yellowstone signs identify each cabin and make nighttime arrival easier.

Cabin Access

Each cabin has its own smart-lock keypad under the carport. Your code is typically the last four digits of the phone number associated with your reservation.

• Wake the keypad and enter your code to unlock
• Press the Lock button when leaving
• Doors do not lock automatically

Safety

Irrigation ditch
The open irrigation ditch along the property edge is off-limits for play or exploration. Please supervise children closely.

Greybull Highway
The property is adjacent to an active 55 mph highway. Children should be closely supervised whenever outdoors.

Wildlife
Deer, birds and other wildlife frequently visit the property. Please observe wildlife from a safe distance and do not feed it.

Heating & Cooling
Each cabin has a ducted mini-split heating and cooling system controlled by a wall thermostat. Please do NOT turn off the HVAC system when you leave.

Ceiling fans are located in the great rooms and king bedrooms and are controlled by wall switches. On the fan control, 4 is the lowest speed.

TVs
Roku TVs are located in every bedroom, the bunkroom and both great rooms.

• Bedroom TVs use Roku Guest Mode and automatically sign guests out
• If you log into personal streaming apps on a great-room TV, please sign out before departure
• TCTNow cable television is available in both great rooms

Kitchens & Coffee
Both kitchens are fully equipped with cookware, dinnerware, utensils and small appliances.

Each cabin includes a Moccamaster coffee brewer and complimentary locally roasted Ghost Town Coffee.

Dining outdoors: Dedicated outdoor plates and cups are provided for meals beneath the pergolas or on the decks. We encourage you to use these when dining al fresco.

Laundry
Each cabin has its own washer and dryer.

Please use liquid detergent or laundry pods only. A starter supply is provided.

Trash
Bagged household trash may be placed in the dumpster along the driveway.

Trash collection takes place early Friday morning, so you may hear the collection truck.

Outdoor Living

Both pergolas are designed for outdoor cooking, dining and evenings together. Each includes:
• Griddle
• Stainless steel prep table
• Custom-built dining table
• Adirondack seating around a fire feature

The Grand Pergola, beside the West Cabin, offers the larger shared gathering space. The East Pergola provides a second complete outdoor dining and cooking area.

Each cabin also has its own deck and outdoor seating.

Please never leave a fire feature unattended. Do not pour water or sand into fire pits or fire features.
